Towards 2020 began with a question: how should we set about skilling Europe's young musicians to successfully engage with 21st century audiences and society?
Launched in 2014 with the support of the European Commission's Creative Europe Programme, a unique partnership of cultural commentators, sociologists, digital pioneers, music festivals, concert halls and performance specialists came together with an aspirational, collective determinism – to create a model for sustainable employment and audience development within the classical music sector that can serve as a best-practice for other cultural areas.
T2020 ran its first phase from 2014-15. For more detailed information about this project, please click here
Plans are now in train for the next stage of T2020: 'e9 - Engaging 21st century audiences with mission-led musicianship'. For introductory information about e9, please click here
