Andrew Jordan McCoy
Andrew McCoy joined the EUYO in 2015.
During his first tour the Orchestra performed Mahler's Fifth Symphony conducted by Gianandrea Noseda in venues such as the Berlin Konzerthaus, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and Edinburgh's Usher Hall. He completed his Bachelor's degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and is currently in the second year of Master's study at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Andrew has kindly been supported by scholarships from the Worshipful Society of Goldsmiths, the Worshipful Society of Musicians, the Guildhall School Trust, the Royal Academy of Music and the Countess of Munster Trust. In addition, he has been awarded the Constance Farrington Brass Prize (2012), the Catherine Judge Memorial Award (2012) and the Armourer's and Brasier's Brass Prize (2016).
