Wies de Boevé

Co-Principal Double Bass of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich and regular guest player with among others the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and the Vienna Philharmonic. Wies won many international music competitions including the first prize and audience award at the ARD competition 2016, first prize at the Bottesini Competition 2017, as well as the first prize at the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb, being the first bass player ever to win this competition. He studied with Duncan McTier,  Janne Saksala, Božo Paradžik, Esko Laine and Matthew McDonald and was an EUYO player from 2007 - 2008.
