Minadora Šernaitė

Minadora Šernaitė graduated from the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in Vilnius in 2012. 

Currently, Minadora is studying her Master’s degree at the  Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre under associated professor Rūta Lipinaitytė.

She is a participant and award winner in severalnational and international competitions, including theInternational Graduss and Parnassum Competition (Lithuania, 2007), in 2010 laureate at the XVI  National Balys Dvarionas competition,1st prize at the International Alexander Glazunov Competition in Paris (France),  3rd prize in National R.Katilius Competition, special prize at the XVII  International Eugen Koka Competition in Moldova (2011), 2nd prize at the String Department Competition of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016) and 1st prize in 2015. In 2013 she won the diploma at the XVI International Remember Enescu Violin Competition in Sinaia (Romania).

Minadora has participated at the International August Dombrovski Competition in Riga (2011), International Balys Dvarionas Competition in Vilnius (2012) and IV International Jascha Heifetz Competition for violinists in Vilnius (2013).

Minadora is a member of Festivo string quartet. The quartet took part in ECMA professor’s session in Riga (Latvia) in 2015. The same year the quartet won 2nd prize at XI International M. K. Oginski Chamber music and String Quartets Competition in Smorgon (Belarus). In 2016 Festivo participated in ECMA session in Vilnius, taking home 3rd prize at the Chamber music Department competition of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

As an orchestra member, Minadora participated at Fjord Cadenza Festival in Skodje (Norway, 2013, conductor Rune Bergmann) and EUYO 2016 summer tour (under conductors Vasily Petrenko, Bernard Haitink and Peter Stark). She is also taking part in orchestral projects at Gothenburg Music Academy. She currently works at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Minadora has taken part in masterclasses given by professors M. Gaisler, P. Munteanu, P. Rozchek, A. Barkhovski, P. Lunberg, M. Ghoerner, P. Schuhmayer, J. Meissl, A. Kouyoumdjian, P. Juedt,

D. Ligeti, K. Sperski and more under associated professor Rūta Lipinaitytė and Professor Audronė Vainiūnaitė.

In 2015 Minadora performed as a soloist with Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre students’ symphony orchestra.
