Hugo Chenuet was born to a musical family in Angers (FR) in 1992.
After graduating from a master's degree in interpretation and a Bachelor's degree in musicology, he is currently Master Soloist at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Lawrence Power. He studied previously under François Hetsch and Odile Thary at the Conservatoire d'Angers, with Christophe Desjardins at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon and with Hariolf Schlichtig at the Hohschule of Munich.
Hugo was trained with the Orchestre Français des Jeunes and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). He has also performed in France with prestigious orchestras like Orchestre National de Lyon or Opéra de Lyon and in Germany he performed with original ensembles such as the Verworner-Krause-Kammerorchester. In Switzerland, Hugo is involved with the Sinfonie Orchester Basel and the Orchestra Musique des Lumières.
Hugo has played with various chamber ensembles for Radio France in 2011 with the Schumann's quintet and at the International Viola Congress in 2014 (in Porto), he performed with a trio of contemporary music supported by Christophe Desjardins and Cécile Costa-Coquelard.
In January 2016 Hugo was awarded Laureat of the international competition "Prix d'Europe" in Paris.
