Regina Laza Pérez-Blanco

Regina Laza joined the EUYO in the Summer of 2017.

Prior to this, she finished her music studies in the Royal Conservatory Of Music in Madrid with the Professor Manuel Guillén (who studies at Juilliard School), finishing her graduate studies with outstanding in her major and chamber music.  

In 2004 she won 1st Prize in the International Competition of Music of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, in Moscow.   

In 2005 she won the Grand Prix in the "International Festival and Competition: Roza Vetrov" in Jonzac (France).  

In 2007 she won the 3rd Prize in the "International Festival of Young Talents" National School of Music "Lubomir Pipkov" (Sophie, Bulgary). 

In 2008 she won the 1rs Prize "Climagrán" for the Best Interpretation of strings at the VI Musical Competition of young talents "San Juan Bosco" (Granada, Spain).   

In 2010 she won the 1st Prize in the First National Competition of Music at the memory of Marcos Pedro Moreno. (Cabra, Córdoba, Spain)  

In 2012 she won the 1st Prize in the Championship "cuidado do fundao" (Portugal). The same year she won the Audience Prize in the Championship "ForumMusikae" (Madrid, Spain), as well as the 2nd Prize ex-aequo in the Competition "Ciudad de Toledo" (Toledo, Spain).   

In 2016 she won the 1st Prize in "strings" category in the International Tournament of Music (Turin, Italy) and Grand Prize in all categories.

She has been Concert master of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain since 2014. She is also a member of the Youth Orchestra of Andalusia and Concert Master of the Cadiz one, with which she performed her debut in 2008 as soloist in a Mendelssohn concerto. She is also Concert master of the "Joaquin Turina" Chamber Orchestra. She is a member of the Spanish Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid Symphonic Orchestra, with which she performed her debut at the National Auditorium of Madrid the Shostakovich Concerto No.1 last February. 

She has performed as a soloist in the International Festival "Rosa Vetrov" France, the "International Festival of Young talents" At the National School of Music "Lubomir Pipkov" (Sophie, Bulgary), International Festival of Music of the Vladimir Spivakov Fundation of Moscow, in the Mink's High School of Music Auditory with its Chamber Orchestra (Belorussia, 2004), in "Instituto Cervantes" and the Central School of Music in Moscow, in Tetuán (Marraketch) and in the International Festival "Yugoria" in Khanty-Mansisk Region (Siberia). 

In 2017 she auditioned for Master studies in Juilliard and DePaul (Chicago), entering both with full scholarship.

She has been taught Master Classes by Rosa Fain, Nicolás Chumachenco, Ilya Kaler (from whom she is receiving current classes in EEUU and is her professor now in Chicago), Silvia Marcovicci, Stephan Picard, Santiago de la Riva, Sergey Teslya, Ana Comesaña Kotliarskaya, Shirly Laub and Agustín León Ara.
