Lyusi Hovhannesyan

Lyusi Hovhannesyan joined the EUYO in the Summer of 2017 as a summer school member.

She is currently in Senior year at Akropoleos Lyceum (Nicosia, Cyprus). Starting from a young age, Lyusi took violin classes with her father and pedagogue Robert Hovhannesyan with whom she still continues her studies. She has given many solo recitals with outstanding repertoire and has performed in various concert venues around Europe as a member of Cyprus Young String Soloists ensemble.

In June 2014 at the age of 13, she performed Paganini’s " ‘Moses ‘ Variations on G string" as a soloist with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra.

In March 2016 she was chosen to participate and attend a violin Master Class by maestro Salvatore Accardo in Nicosia (Cyprus).

In May 2016 she won the 1st Prize in the "3rd Avaton Young Performers Competition of Contemporary Music” in Limassol (Cyprus).

In May 2017 she participated in the project called “United by Music” with the Berliner Philharmoniker in Paphos 2017-Europian Capital of Culture (Cyprus).

As of Summer 2016, she is a member of the Cyprus Symphony Youth Orchestra.
