Maja Wojciechowska

Maja was born 1992 into a family of musicians and began her musical education at the age of 7.

She graduated as one of the best students in her class and subsequently moved to Krakow to study at the Music Academy with Małgorzata Szczepanowska. She finished her Bachelor studies at the Music Academy in Wrocław with Bartosz Bryła and moved to Vienna to continue her education at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitaet with Dominika Falger. She was awarded a scholarship on three separate occasions.

Maja joined EUYO in 2017. Prior to this, she was a member of youth orchestras such as I, Culture Orchestra, Santander Orchestra, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester and Iuventus Orchestra. She held various positions such as concertmaster of the Academic Symphony Orchestra and principal second violin in the Academic Chamber Orchestra. She has also worked as part of many philharmonic orchestras and operas in Poland and Austria such as NFM, Filharmonia Dolnośląska, Filharmonia Sudecka, Teatr Wielki in Poznan, Sinfonia Iuventus in Warsaw, Vienna Classical Players and Ambassade Orchester Wien.

In her spare time, she is a dog-sitter and is passionate about Polaroid photography.
