Julia joined the EUYO in 2018 and has enjoyed a numerous amount of concerts since then, including orchestra and chamber music performances in Europe and South America.
She had the opportunity to play under the baton of conductors like Vasily Petrenko, Gianandrea Noseda and Manfred Honeck. Julia is currently in her third year of Bachelor’s degree, studying with Julian Arp at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz.
She is a member of several ensembles and orchestras, such as the Oberösterreichische Mozartensemble, the orchestra “Philharmonices mundi” with members of the Brucknerorchester Linz and the LGT Young Soloists. As a cellist of the LGT Young Soloists she recorded for RCA Red Seal/Sony Music and appeared as a soloist in the Brahms-Saal of the Musikverein Wien in 2019. She also gained experience as principal cellist by leading the cello section of the Oberösterreichische Jugendsinfonieorchester, the orchestra of the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz and the Young Artists Orchestra of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
She received prizes both as a soloist and a chamber musician in the Austrian competition “Prima la musica”. In 2015 Julia was granted the Dr. Josef Ratzenböck Stipendium of Upper Austria and most recently she won the silver medal in a scholarship competition of the Martha-Debelli-Stiftung with “Trio la Mur”.
She attended masterclasses with Heidi Litschauer, Umberto Clerici, Mikhail Nemtsov and Patrick Demenga.
