Dutch-Finnish cellist Fransien Paananen (1997) started playing the cello at the age of 4.
During summer hollidays she’s been attending masterclasses from Csaba Szilvay, Jukka Rautasalo, Tuomas Ylinen and Marko Ylönen. Also she’s attended masterclasses from Andreas Brantelid, Nils Ullner, Stefan Kropfitsch and Pamela Smits. In the Netherlands she had lessons of Artur Trajko, Lenian Benjamins, Monique Bartels and from Larissa Groeneveld at the Youth Department, Academie Muzikaal Talent.
For years she has been apart of different orchestras such as the Dutch Youth String Orchestra (NJSO) and since 2017 of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). Fransien studies at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki since 2015. First in the class of Roi Ruottinen and since 2016 in the class of Hannu Kiiski.
