Lia Yeranosyan

Lia Yeranosyan was born in 1999, in Armenia, being the fourth generation of musicians in the family. At two, she moved to Porto, Portugal with her parents, who started to play in the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa Da Música. Aged four, she started to learn the violin with her mother, getting admitted in Conservatório de
Música do Porto in 2005 to study with Magda Wierzba and later, until 2017, with Tatiana Afanasieva.

Since seven, she has participated and won various competitions, including "Cidade do Fundão", "Elisa Pedroso", "Paços Premium" and in 2016 she won first prize in the prestigious Portuguese competition “Prémio Jovens Músicos” and in 2017 a national competition CJ.COM in which the chosen soloist would play with the National Youth Orchestra.


She has also participated in various masterclasses with names like Benjamin Schmid, Jack Liebeck, Felix Andriesky, Sergey Kravchenko, Sergey Aroutunyan, Zófia Woycicka, Marta Eufrázio and Latica Honda-Rosenberg. In addition, Lia has played in many national orchestras such as the National Youth Orchestra in which she was
the concertmaster, and The Atlantic Coast Orchestra and Orquestra XXI.


In 2016 she played as a soloist with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra, as a part of the Prémio Jovens Músicos prize. She was also a soloist in the “Festival de Música de Setúbal” and as part of her last performance as a student of the Conservatório de Musica do Porto she played as a soloist with the school's orchestra.
Lia was selected as part of the 2017 EUYO orchestra on the Summer Tour, performing with the maestro Vasily Petrencko. On the same summer she took part of the masterclasses in the Epoche F project with Ensemble Modern.

In October 2017 she begins her studies in the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Manheim with the professor Marco Rizzi.
