Pau Galgo was born in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) in 2000.
He is currently studying 2nd year of Higher Degree in the mode of interpretation of the double bass with the maestro Joaquín Arrabal and a scholarship student from the age of 16 at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Liceu. He began his musical training at the integrated center of studies Oriol Martorell and has received classes of renowned bass players such as Xavi Puertas, Rodrigo Moro, Maria Krykov, Johane González and Andrew Ackerman among others.
Since 2014, he has been a musician of the JONC (Young National Orchestra of Catalonia). In 2017, he won the post as a member of the Swiss orchestra; Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra. In 2018, he became a academist member of the MCO (Mahler Chamber Orchestra), participating in the meeting in Dortmund last november. In 2019, he became a member of the EUYO (European Union Youth Orchestra). He has been led by recently great directors such as Manel Valdivieso, Juanjo Mena, Joshua Weilerstein, Andrés Orozco-Estrada and Stanislav Kochanovsky.
In parallel to his classical training, he has also been a bassist in the Sant Andreu Jazz Band from 2013 to 2017 with whom he has recorded several albums with renowned jazz musicians such as Dick Oatts, Scott Robinson, Joe Magnarelli or Scott Hamilton.
