An EUYO ‘first timers’ concert series for informal and young audiences new to classical music

6/9/2021 – The EUYO’s young musicians return for their long awaited Ferrara Musica symphonic residency, rehearsing and performing in Ferrara from , in events including an outdoor concert as part of the and 4 concerts at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara.

Two of the Orchestra’s concerts will premiere Music Minus the Rules!, a new series with the EUYO in a relaxed and informal mode playing excerpts from a variety of music, with a special presenter as a guide to explain what is happening onstage, and a chance for the audience to ask questions and hear from the players and conductor. If you have never tried a live performance of classical music before, this will be the perfect way to begin.

Music Minus the Rules - Exploded Orchestra!: Sunday 12 September 16.00-17.00 Teatro Comunale

Presented by Ambra Bianchi from the with conductor Peter Stark and the musicians of the EUYO. This concert will show what an orchestra really gets up to when rehearsing, letting you hear from the musicians, see what happens when different ideas are tried in a rehearsal, and even make your own suggestions about how the music should go. It will also feature short excerpt performances from a variety of music.

Specialist music presenter Fabio Sartorelli will introduce the audience to the world of orchestra performance with conductor Sascha Goetzel and the Orchestra, showing just how fun classical music can be, with a diverse range of musical extracts, a look at the composers who wrote the music, and answers to audience questions. Perfect for first timers to classical music.

Music minus the Rules! events have a special ticket price of only 9 euros, with a reduced price of 3€ only from the ticket office of the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara on presentation of an Associazione Musicisti di Ferrara card or an InternoVerde Festival bracelet. Ticket sales will open on 10 September, and seats are limited due to health precautions.
