Maria Francisca Azevedo
Maria Francisca Azevedo began her musical studies at 6 years old in her hometown, Viseu, under the guidance of professor Elitza Mladenova. In 2020, she completed a Bachelor degree in Violin Performance in Universidade de Aveiro, where she works with professor Roberto Valdés. Throughout the years, Francisca has had the opportunity to work with several eminent teachers, such as Alexei Moshkov, Christoph Poppen, Rodion Zamuruev and Tatiana Samouil. She took part in Festival Verão Clássico, where she had lessons with professors Corey Cerovsek, Jack Liebeck and Tedi Papavrami and in the Old Ox Masterclasses, working with professors Barnabás Kelemen and Liza Ferschtman. From 2014 to 2018, Francisca was a member of Orquestra Sinfónica Ensemble, serving as concertmaster during her last season. She is a member of the Portuguese Youth Orchestra (JOP), where she has the opportunity to work with the conductor Pedro Carneiro. She collaborates regularly with professional orchestras such as Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa and Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras. In 2021, she presented herself as a soloist with the orchestra of Universidade de Aveiro. Currently, Francisca is completing her Master´s degree.
