From 1986 onwards Luisa Prandina was the first harp player of the European Community Youth Orchestra, the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
At the age of 23, she became the first harp player of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan by winning an international competition. In addition to this, Luisa is visiting professor of harp at Namur Conservatory, Scuola Internazionale Claudio Abbado in Milan and at the Scuola di perfezionamento di Fiesole.
She is frequently involved in chamber music groups, with other prestigious musicians such as Yuri Bashmet and Dora Schwarzberg and she has also been a soloist with famous orchestras such as the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, the "Solisti Veneti", the Moscow Virtuosi and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
Her solo performances have taken her to many important venues, such as the Teatro alla Scala and Sala Verdi in Milan, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Kurhaus at Wiesbaden.
