Aaron is a versatile and talented trumpet player who freelances with the UK’s leading orchestras as well as having a successful chamber and solo career.
Whilst continuing in his final year at the Royal Academy of Music, Aaron is currently trialing as principal trumpet with the Philharmonia Orchestra and English National Opera and as co-principal trumpet of BBC Philharmonic Orchestra whilst also freelancing regularly as principal and tutti trumpet with BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia of London and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Aaron is a member of the inaugural Philip Jones Brass Ensemble Award winning group, Connaught Brass.
As a result of the competition, the quintet will give their debut performance at London’s Wigmore Hall in May of this year as well as playing in the Lucerne Festival Debut Series in September. As a soloist, Aaron came joint third in the 2019 “Girolamo Fantini” International Trumpet Competition whilst also being awarded a special prize for the best performance of the competition commission “Vulcano Club” by Piergiorgio Ratti.
With duo partner and percussionist, Tom Pritchard, Aaron is planning a concert series around the UK and Europe to demonstrate to audiences the wide range of repertoire that is possible for trumpet and percussion - music ranging from arrangements of Baroque works to modern original compositions. As co-principal trumpet, Aaron is also a member of Europe’s first Black and Minority Ethnic orchestra, Chineke! orchestra - an orchestra with the mission to address racial equality in the classical music world.
