Ángel Martín Mora
Born in Madrid (Spain) in 1999. At the age of 8, he starts his musical studies. Later, he also receives lessons from professors like Yehuda Gilad, Sabine Meyer, Vicente Alberola, Giovanni Punzi, Nikita Vaganov, Pascal Moragués, Florent Héau, Venancio Rius, Reiner Wehle, Javier Martínez or Burt Hara.
He had played with Community of Madrid orchestra (ORCAM), Madrid Royal Theater Orchestra as well as Spanish Radio and Television orchestra (OSRTVE) He is member of Spanish Youth Orchestra (JONDE), member of the EUYO (2019-2020) and reserve member of Schleswig- Holstein Festival's orchestra(2019). He receives chamber music lessons from Gustavo Núñez, Radovan Vlatkovic, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Klaus Thunemann, Radek Baborak, Stefan Dohr for woodwind quintet and with Marta Gulyas, Alexander Lonquich and Menahem Pressler in Piano Groups. In orchestra, he has been conducted by András Schiff, Esa Pekka Salonen, Stephane Deneve, Vasily Petrenko, Andrés Orozco, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Peter Eotvos, James Conlon and Bruno Aprea.
He has won some national and international competitions as: International Clarinet Competition Bal y Gay (Lugo, 2017), Second Prize in International Clarinet Competition in Porto (Portugal, 2018). He has taken part in Aurora Music Festival in Stockholm (2018). During 2017-2019 he studied at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid with Michel Arrignon and Enrique Pérez-Piquer. He was nominated the most outstanding Clarinet student and member of the most outstanding chamber music group with Messiaen's Quartet during those years. He also won "Spanish Youth Musicians" Competition and played Mozart clarinet Concerto with Reina Sofia School's orchestra. Currently, he continues his studies with Yehuda Gilad at Colburn Conservatory in LA (USA). In January 2020 he plays as soloist with the Colburn Orchestra the Spohr Clarinet Concerto no.4. Recently, he gets the First Prize in Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition.
