Julie Adalsteinsson

Born in 1997 in Luxembourg, Julie Adalsteinsson started playing the violin with Sofie Vermeersch.

At the age of 19 she graduated from the Conservatoire du Nord and is currently studying her Bachelor degree with Natasja Morozova at Codarts University for the Arts, in Rotterdam (Netherlands). During these years she has performed as a soloist with orchestras as Luxembourg Philharmonia, Jugendsinfonieorchester Eifel-Ardennen and Orquestra Philarmónica de Lisboa.

In 2016 she won the first price at the ‘21’ Century Art competition (International Forum) in Vienna. She has followed master classes with renowned violinists like Cornelia Gudea, Larissa Kolos, Misha Furman and Sebastian Bohren.

Actively participating in many orchestras she has recently played in the Dutch National Youth Orchestra with the renowned conductor Gustavo Gimeno, and in 2017 she performed with the Codarts Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev. Furthermore she has performed in Jugendsinfonieorchester Eifel-Ardennen, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Orchestre des Jeunes de la Grande Région (CMGR) and many more, consequently allowing her to play in renowned concert halls like the Doelen in Rotterdam, the Philharmonie de Luxemboug, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Bastille Opera house in Paris. She has been a member of the EUYO since 2019.
