Rasmus Støier Andersen

Rasmus Støier Andersen started playing the cello at the age of 5 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In 2012, Rasmus began studies with prof. Henrik Brendstrup privately and at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium. He was accepted into the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2017, and has been studying there with Toke Møldrup since.

He has attended masterclasses with Andreas Brantelid, Denmark; Alexander Ramm, Russia; Melissa Phelps, UK; Boris Andrianov, Russia and Fabio Presgrave, Brazil.

Rasmus is active as chamber musician and soloist, and in the summer of 2018 he was on tour with DUSIKA, a youth symphony orchestra based in Copenhagen, where he played the Saint-Saens concerto in Belgium and in the big Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen.

In the last three years, he has been a part of The Danish Youth Ensemble, who give concerts of different repertoire mostly in Denmark, but most recently on tour in Moscow.

Rasmus became a member of EUYO in 2019.
