Michael Shearer

Originally from Scotland, Michael is a music librarian, composer and performer currently based in Berlin. He studied at the University of Glasgow before completing his Masters in composition at the Royal College of Music. His work has been heavily influenced by creative collaborations with artists and performance groups and encompasses contemporary dance, experimental music, film and opera. 

Michael's music has been performed in the Linbury Studio Theatre, Rambert Dance, National Portrait Gallery and Centre for Contemporary Arts and he has enjoyed performing at contemporary music festivals including Huddersfield (HCMF Shorts), Glasgow Jazz Fest and the Edinburgh International Fringe.

Having worked with the Royal Opera House and BBC Concert Orchestra, Michael has been a part of the EUYO team since 2017 and is responsible for preparing all music materials.
