Pablo Pérez

Cello student at the Hochschule für Musik FHNW - Basel, Master Performance’s Degree with Professor Danjulo Ishizaka, mainly at the Institut Klassik, but also in early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

He finished his Bachelor’s Degree studies in Musical Performance with excellent results at the Alfonso X el Sabio University, in Madrid, with Prof. Asier Polo and Prof. María Casado. In 2014 he obtained the "Beca Pau Casals", offered by the Fundació Pau Casals. In 2018/19, he received a scholarship from Lyra Stiftung. Born in Madrid, in 1995 he began his studies at the age of eight at the School of Music and Dance of Pozuelo de Alarcón.

He joins the Professional Conservatory of Majadahonda in 3rd grade. In 2013 he began his studies at the Alfonso X el Sabio University. During the academic year 2017-18, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden, and he is currently studying Master Performance’s Degree in the Hochschule für Musik FHNW - Basel. In the Hochschule für Musik FHNW – Basel, he works regularly with his string quartet with Jirí Nemecek and Saiko Sasaki Schmidt, and occasionally receives advice from Rainer Schmidt (2nd violin from Hagen Quartett) or Prof. Valentin Erben (founder and cellist at Alban Berg Quartett from 1970 to 2008).

He works as well chamber music with Claudio Martínez Mehner and Anton Kernjak. In the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis he studies baroque cello with Petr Skalka. He has been a member of different young orchestras like JONDE (Spanish National Young Orchestra) and NJO.
