Lucrezia Costanzo
Born in Catania in 2001, she started her violin studies at the age of 9 with Maestro Alessandro Cortese.
After only one year of studies she started to participate in various national and international competitions collecting around 20 absolute first prizes. In 2012 she was admitted to the Istituto Superiore di studi musicali ""Vincenzo Bellini"" in Catania with full marks. Later she moved to Cesena to study with M. Stefano Pagliani where she completed her Bachelor studies with full marks.
In 2021 she won a scholarship from the Rotary Club and in the same year she successfully passed the selections for an Erasmus program at the prestigious Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (MDW) where she will study with Ernst Kovacic, Sabine Windbacher, Sibila Konstantinova and Avo Kouyoumdjian. She has participated in masterclasses and private lessons with teachers such as Francesca Dego, Andrea Obiso, Ilya Grubert, Schlomo Mintz, Francesco De Angelis.
She early discovered her passion for the orchestra and from 2019 she is a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (euyo), she also play with the Young Musician European Orchestra where she often has the chance to play as a leader and soloist. At the age of 17 she won the leader position for the Academy of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. She has been invited as a guest from orchestras like the Budapest Festival Orchestra of Ivan Fischer, the Haydn Philarmonie in Vienna, the Teatro Regio di Torino, the Brandeburger Symphoniker, the OSN Etna Philarmonic, for the festival Taormina Opera Stars. Thanks to these orchestras she had the chance to work with great musicians as Gianandrea Noseda, Ivan Fisher, Gustavo Gimeno, Enrico Onofri, Donato Renzetti, Martha Argerich, Daniel Rivera, Beatrice Rana, Renaud Capuçon, Giovanni Gnocchi, Nicholas Alsteadt, Andrej Zust and many others.
