Austrian tuba player Paul Schrank was born in 1996 in Graz. After finishing his military Service in the Military Music in Styria he began to study material science at the Montanuniversität Leoben and joined the class of Erich Bendl at the Johann-Joseph-Fux-Konservatorium Graz.
Since October 2019 he studies Tuba in the class of Prof. Michael Pircher at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Paul plays in various small ensembles, wind bands, semi-professional orchestras and is also a current member of the “Wiener Jeunesse Orchester”. Since 2016 he is a frequent substitute in the “Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester” playing symphonic Repertoire, operas and ballets.
