Álvaro Canales Albert
Álvaro was born in Callosa de Segura (Alicante) in 1998, and he began his bassoon studies at a very early age with Marco Antonio Clemente. He has also received lessons from MIguel Puchol, José Lozano Prior, Pedro Pérez Conejero, Enrique Abargues Morán, Juan Sapiña, Martin Mangrum, David Tomás, Javier Aragó, Vicent Alario, Álvaro Prieto, Jussy Särrkä, Simon Van Holen, Tobias Pelkner, Joseph Grimmer and Pieter Nuytten.
He won the first prize of the second category in the Regional Contest of Musical Interpretation Vega Baja-Baix Vinalopó in 2013.
In 2016, he concluded his studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Murcia, obtaining the highest grades and obtaining the second prize in the 2016 CMM 2016 Young Interpreters Prize, with a score of 9.4.
That same year he obtained the First Prize in the XIX Edition of the Music Course for Young Performers of the Region of Murcia "Between Strings and Metals", as well as the First Prize in the First Category in the Regional Contest of Musical Interpretation Vega Baja - Baix Vinalopó .
He is member of the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia since 2017 and has worked in orchestras like the Symphony Orchestra Region of Murcia, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena.
He has played as soloist with the Municipal Band of Alicante, Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, and others.
Actually he studies in Musikene with David Tomás, Javier Aragó and Álvaro Prieto and Vicent Alario.
